Criminal Record & Naturalisation

Hi Everyone

I Would apply for naturalisation BUT i was reluctant to do so as i have unspent convictions which would affect the Good Character requirement for naturalisation.
Regarding my criminal record these are the 5 convictions and sentences which occured in 2002:
Convictions Full Details:

1/ Assault a Constable : 20/05/2002: 2 weeks imprisonment.

2/ Making off without payment
common assault:19/04/2002: Fine 50 pound+75 pound compensation.

3/ Theft Shoplifting: 9/01/2002: Fine 100 pound.

4/ Theft Shoplifting: 9/01/2002: Fine 50 pound.

5/ Theft shoplifting /26/11/2001:Fine 100 pound.

Please note that all the offences happened in a period of 2 months between the 24/11/2001 to 28/01/2002 after a marriage problems and loosing my job then.

I'm seeking your advice whether to make an application at the moment or not.

Surely this is covered in the table on page 24 of Guide AN(NEW) isn't it?

With a sentence of up to six months, there is a seven year "Rehabilitation Period", and your application is likely to be refused if you apply within three years of conviction... For the fines, the rehabilitation period is five years, and the required "clear period" is two years.

I can't see that you'll have a problem.
