Old Degree Question

Post by thedarkhalf » Fri Dec 08, 2006 8:30 pm

Hi,

I know this is an old question but so far i am not sure what is the answer. I would appreciate if somebody could guide me on this.

I have 3 year BCS degree from FAST-ICS (Punjab University) [15 years of education]. I sent my degree for assessment and NARIC considered it equivalent to certificate of higher education!!. I think this is quite absurd as anybody inside Pakistan knows that FAST degree is equivalent to the rest.

Now i wanted some guidance.

1. Is there any member here with a 3 year FAST or NUCES degree that got it compared equivalent to UK bachelors ?
2. I have 6+ years of experience doesn't that help in anyway like in US where 3 years experience is considered to be equivalent to 1 year of education
3. There is a clause in the HSMP for education that says "Graduate Degree (i.e. B.A. / B.Sc. ) or equivalent Professional or Vocational Qualification". What does it mean by Professional or Vocational Qualification?
4. What are the easiest options for me to get 30 points for UK bachelors. I don't want to study 1-2 years for masters. Is there any simpler way like diploma or certificate?

thanks in advance,

Its kind of silly cause I have got the maximum points for my earning. But if my degree isn't good enough for UK so be it..its their loss.
