Post by ch15 » Wed Dec 13, 2006 12:14 pm

What happen if my 5-year working permit is expired after 6 months frmo its issued date ?

Is it possible my employer to reapply the work permit for me?

What would be the procedure?

any advice would be appreciated.

regards

If it expires 6 months from it's start date then it's not a 5 year work permit. It's a 6 month work permit.
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

How come a 5 year work permit expired after 6 months? Are u telling the right facts. I had done workpermit twice and both were valid for respected time periods it was issued for.

I think what OP meant was that since he / she has not applied for EC / FLR within the six months of the work permit, the work permit can't be used for EC / FLR purposes.
