When receiving documents...

I have a short question!
I am patiently waiting for my documents and BRP [did my biometric on May so I still have long way :(]

But what happens when you are not there to receive the post (documents)?
Do they just put them in the mailbox? don't you have to sign the post when it is delivered?

It needs to be signed for they will leave a card for re-delivery/collection
