Is payment deducted for invalid application ?

Post by sts96508 » Fri Feb 17, 2012 2:59 pm

Does UK BA take payement if it decides that a T1 extension application is invalid due to reasons like - improper photo, form not filled up completely, etc ?

In other words - if payment is deducted can it be taken as a sign that application is valid ?

Thanks

There is no fee for an invalid application. It is as if an application was never made

So which should be considered as confirmation that a T1 extension application is valid - successful payment or receiving biometric letter ?

The receipt of payment or Biometric appointment is a good indicator.

It does not mean a successful application, but it means application is valid.

i did my biometrics for the psw application,
the application has come once invalid anyway for first time , after the leave expired . i did the biometrics as requested in the letter when i applied second time. so is the application valid. am i an overstayer, right to work?

Since you applied after leave expired, you do not have leave and will not have leave until your application is succesful. Until then you are an overstayer and are not permitted to work.
