I got HSMP approval in accoradance with the old criteria and planning to apply for EC in jan. I want to that when I apply for LTR after one year should I have to show ILETS ?

YEs you need in case your BSc degree (equivalent with UK degree) was not taught in egnlesih
or
you have not submit IELTS as part of your initial application

Any further leave to remain that you will apply in future will have to confirm with the rules at the time of your new application. In this case 'English language equivancy'.

Just hope that the existing new rules would have not changed futher, by the time your extension date comes :-).

Anyway, If I were you, I would first deal with the EC in hand and worry about the extensions and rest after I am in the country :-)
