Queries on personal savings amount for HSMP

Post by rahul_stb » Wed Dec 27, 2006 10:20 am

Hi,

I hope, I will get my answers here.

I am from India, work in India and first time applying for hsmp visa approval.

It is required to show your saving so that you can sustain yourself in UK.

How much amount is atleast required, I am trying to show 6,000 gbp ?

And Is it Okay to send saving proof documents along with first application ?

No, you need not send your savings details for the initial application.

That would help you while you apply for Entry Clearance to local British Highcommission. Again the amount should be sufficient enough to cover your expenses in UK till you get the Job.

Thanks for your reply.

I am wondering about - How much is sufficient ? I don't have any offer letter at present and not sure how much time it will take for me to find the right job.

I am going to be get married soon and I am planning to along with my wife. In this case, Savings proof req. will be even more.

Point is, I have some bank balance right now before marriage, Afterwards, this will be spent in marriage  So, this is my bank balance peek... So I am preferring to take bank statements right now ?

Hi,

If you have some relative and friends in UK, with whom you can stay with initially then you can specify the same (By having proper proof like letter from your frd.) in the at the time of Entry Clearance.

I believe the bank balance that one has to show would be not so old, but in the statement taken in the recent times when you are applying for EC.
