HSMP IELTS Or University Certificate

Post by babar722004 » Fri Dec 29, 2006 12:02 am

Hi,

1. Has anyone had any experience in getting a certficiate from Delhi University stating that BCom (H) was taught in English. I have 4 weeks before my applciation, however not sure if the university will respond during that time or if they even do something like this. Also I might be able to secure a certificate from my college, however the awarding body is University of Delhi-does it have to be only from University of Delhi or the college certificate also works?

2. Also, do we need to have 4-5 weeks of lead time to apply to appear for IELTS? Is the General IELTS fairly simple and can be done without a lot of practice?

3. I have been in the UK for 10 months and do not have a P60. Is a salary slip from employer and bank statement sufficient evidence?

1. I think the letter has to be from the University.
2. Check with your nearest IELTS centre for test place availability. Whether GENERAL IELTS is fairly simple depends on your current level of proficiency. Even if you are an expert, it will be wise to do one or two practice test to understand the format.
3. If the earning period falls within this year (tax year not completed) then you can submit pay slips and bank statements. Explain clearly on the form why you are not able to submit IT return.

P60 is one of the most important documents.
You should get in April every year.
If you could not provide this evedence than you should mention a strong reason why in your application.

Anyway, would you let the forum know why you did not get P60 in April this years ?.

Checked with HSMP call centre

Called the call centre today and they were not willing to commit initally that a college certificate will be good. They finally came around to saying that it should be fine...but that left me doubtful about its acceptability. Anyway has submitted a college certificate instead of university certificate from India and has been accepted?
