The point is that an equivalent permit must exist in other EEA states, even if it's called something else.Directive/2004/38/EC wrote:An EEA family permit is only a UK invention and is nothing to do with Spain or Germany. If it comes to picking a country to settle down in permanently, do consider this point as it will be important long term.
