Urgent Help needed Regarding HSMP

Hi Guys, I am from Pakistan and I am going to apply for HSMP in mid of Jan. I need some urgent help on few issues. I hope you guys will be helpfull

I am a self - employeed WEB Programmer, I work through many freelance websites and few direct clients. I satisfy all requirments but i have few questions

1- I full fill the EARNING requirments but regarding PAY SLIPS and CONTRACT letters , i can show REMITANCE slips sent to me by clients from UK and USA, is that enough ? also few of my clients send me money online ... so can i show PRINT OUT of the receipts ? do they need to be stammped and signed as well ?

Regarding contract letters i can show only few letters from my clients , showing thier digital signatures image ? is that O.K. or do they need to sign with pen and post me BY POST MAIL any advise on that ?

2- IELTS test ? I have given ACADEMIC IELTS and scored 7.0 is that o.k ? Someone told me i need to give GENERAL IELTS not academic . is that true ?

3- Someone told me that i need to fill the form manually , by PEN i mean...with my own hand writting ? Is that true ? can't i use word editor and fill the form by computer ?

4- TAX RETURNS - i am going to claim for NOV 2005- NOV 2006 , is this time period o.k. ? Also the tax period here is JUL 31st 2005- AUG 1st 2006 so what should i do about the PERIOD not covering under TAX that is sept 2006- nov 2006 ?

Hi Muz,

Iam not too experienced on self-employment rules, therefore, would not try to attempt to answer Q1. However, the answer to your other questions are as follows,

Q2 - An Academic IELTS with 7.0 is sufficient for English Language requirement. Both Academic or General module scores are acceptable as evidence for English language requirement.

Q3 - You can fill your application form either electronically or manually. Its just that the existing form has a couple of instances where you may not be able to fill-in data, so you might need to use a pen on those fields.

Q4 - Since your Tax return does not cover your income period completely, its adivsable for you to claim exceptional circumstances. You might also think of sending the tax documents for the time-frame that is available just so your exceptional circumstances are justified.
