The BHC in Delhi are being pro-active, very good sign, which means not only do they want to help you out in getting you, a VISA pretty swiftly, they may be intimidated by your solicitor, so well done you and your solicitor.Harpreet91 wrote:However I received a call from BHC politely requesting me to send original candidate results sheet or deliver by hand. (visa was refused as they state we did not originally supply)
I guess this is a good sign? As they haven't yet received my appeal and appear to be actioning a review requested by my solictor.

I am getting married next month in India, and going to apply for UK Spouse / Settlement Visa for my wife soon after the wedding / registar marriage. I am a british citizen and my wife is an Indian National. I have gone the through UK border agency website, so know what online form that I need to fill in but not very clear about what supporting documents that I need to submit. My wife will be applying for this Visa in VFS CHENNAI. I am thinking of going through a solicitor for help and advice, but they charge about £500 to help with the Visa. Not sure if its the right thing to do. Has anyone gone through this recently who can help me.

My wife is an Indian National. I have gone through the UK Border agency website and now collating all the supporting documents. I live in a shared house, a double bed room, been living in the same house for almost 3 years but I am not very sure whether I can provide this accommodation to process the visa or I need to rent a separate apartment / house. My landlady and one other person I share the house with said they are happy to give any letter to process the application. Since the visa the processing takes about 2 months I was thinking of looking for a house after the visa is granted. Can you offer me some advice on this. Thanks
