Application received: 05/12/2006
Ref received: 05/12/2006 (200xxx)
Out of country
degree: 30 points
Previous Earnings: 45 points
age: 20 points
Total: 95 points
Refused on 11th Dec.
Document with the refusal letter arrived on 4th Jan 2007
Reason: could not find supporting evidence that my degree was taught in English. Fresh application on the way...
Note for all: even if you are from an English-speaking country, you still need to take care of this.

Sent Application: 15th Dec
Application received (special delivery): 18th Dec
Got Ref # 28th Dec (starts with 201xxx)
I called today to follow up and was told a case worker has been assigned to my case but no decision made yet. They couldn't tell me anything else.
Mine is an in-country application - is yours?
Do you know what date your case worker was assigned?
Updates from anyone else with similar case much appreciated!
My docs has been sent on 2nd Jan to India by AIRMAIL. Dont know what is the decision, they are not telling on the phone. On 2nd and 3rd, some lady picked the call and told me no decision yet.
But yesterday, some guy picked the call and told me decision has been made and docs sent 2nd Jan.
Kepping fingers crossed.

Pam, didn't you request courier pick-up? Some people think that if the application is straight forward, then the decision would have been made quickly.
Also, Pam, what are the first 4 digits of your ref number?

How are you ppl arranging courier to get your documents?
I am in India, talked to Fedex and DHL but they do not provide import services.
TNT courier prices are very high, atleast 8 K INR. Any other option?

My timeline is as follows:-
Application sent: 19 December 2006
Received at H.O: 21 December 2006
Reference No given: 28 December 2006 (202xxx)
I called them yesterday and was told that my application hasn't been assigned to a caseworker as yet. I think there is a big queue due to Xmis and new year holidays. waiting anxiously for the outcome. wish me luck friends.
