Hi

I am on Tier4 visa and want to check Can I apply for student dependent visa from uk or I have to go back to my home country and apply from there?

Only from your home country, and if your partner is studying a level 7 degree of more than 12 months duration at an approved HEI.

I was advised by a solicitor that I can apply for dependent visa from UK. So she was wrong?

thanks for ur response even im in the same situation, it not clearly mentioned that we need to go back to home country for our stamping the closes it says is '' the applicant and the Relevant Points Based System Migrant must not be so closely related that they would be prohibited from marrying each other in the UK ''

319C (h)lists those who can apply for leave to remain (ie apply from inside the UK) tier 4 migrants are not listed here so they cannot apply from inside the UK and need to apply from outside instead.
