Can mental illness and heart condition help?

Hi,
my mom entered US in 1995.
Due to unforseen circumstances she got deportation notice (8 years ago)
from Immigration Court BUT she got OK to stay from INS (almost at the
same time).
So she stayed and lawyer was trying to get amnesty to work in her favor
but nothing happened.
This year she got heart attack and developed strong suicidal problem.
I am a citizen, can I do something so they will give her a green card
because she is not 'deportable' in her mental condition?
Any advice apprecited.

Yes, she is also having a boyfriend and she can get married but only if it will help her to stay, I suppose she doesn't love him as much as he does.
