Salary Proof

Post by babar722004 » Wed Jan 10, 2007 8:12 pm

Hi,

I wanted to check 2 points for extension of my HSMP workpermit:

1. I am unable to provide P60 as proof of income that was earned in the last 8 months. The earning period does not cover the financial year of April 2006 to April 2007. I hope it is fine if I provide the salary statements from myemployer and bank statements as 2 proofs of income earned.

2. My salary statements have been printed on headed paper, which basically has the name of the company, and there is a stamp also from the payroll department. Would this be acceptable format for salary statement?

How could you be so sure about this ?.
In this forum there are already a guy, who was rejected because he did not submit P60.

If your P60 does not cover the whole perios, it does not matter but at least it cover some months. And the rest here is that from pay slips, bank statement and salary breakdown from employers.

I agree with Pantaiema, submit the P60 (even if it covers just 1 month) and all the evidences you have including Bank statements.

No point taking chances

for those unaware of the UK tax system, the last 8 months are in CY (April 6 2006/April 5 2007) and therefore no P60 will correlate with other evidence supplied for that period.

for those unaware of HSMP extension - 8 months of evidence required, not 12 months. That is until people with 2 year initial HSMP start having to renew.

there have been instances of acceptance where NO P60 has been submitted
