Still waiting for my visa

Hey there ,

I applied for my Tier4 visa 16 days ago... I'm still waiting. I'm a bit concerned as my courses will start next week .
What can I do please? Will I receive my visa before my courses start ?

Is there anything I can do? for example contact my GB consulate to explain them the urgency ... ?

Request your university / institution to allow you to join later than the scheduled date.

Visa processing will not be expedited for any such reason.

Where did you apply from? You need to keep in mind that you have applied at the busiest time of year for student visas and have left it pretty late at that.

I applied from Algeria.
and I think there's not so much requests for a Tier4 here... Besides , I applied in 4th of september... I thought that the busiest period was in August.. Was it wrong to think so?

I am very anxious now. Cause I don't know if I'll get my visa or no and when ! If the visa is rejected I am already enroled in my home university (in France) ...but they started the courses 2 weeks ago and I'm stuck here in Algeria without my passeport..
So frustrating
