Previous Employment Original Certifcates reqd. for new job??

Post by ashishashah » Thu Jan 11, 2007 12:56 pm

Hello All,

I am flying to UK in last week of January.I intend to apply for a job there..
I have my Certificates and Previos Exp letters with me.It a big file considering that i have 10 Years of Exp.

My question is :do i need to carry all Certifcates to UK ?
Are they required during Interview/Selection process??
Or Photo coipes will do??

Thanks
Ashish

My experience is UK interviews tend to be very informal - at least the ones I've attended. I've taken absolutely nothing with me except a notepad and pen. And before anyone says I've only had about three months out of work in 28 years and I've had a fair few jobs, switching twixt permie and contracting....

In fact the place I'm at now we don't even wear suits, everyone is in jeans and teeshirts and they are the sytlish ones.

I think employers now are looking to build more than a herd of workers to hire and fire, they want people who can interact, talk confidently and fit in with the rest. I think too there's a sense of 'what's this guy on?' when anyone starts putting his certs and diplomas on the table.

I've been interviewed in a pub once, got the job and had to get a round in. That's true!

Thanks for the onfo..

One more thing i have realsied it Agenst ask for "Customised " CV themselves..
I normally dont customise my Cv as per job advert, but then they call back and tell me to do that!!!..

So are Client Intervie not technical? They only belive what u have in CV??
