Visa for new born child in UK - ILR due in few months

Hi,

I am currently on Tier 1 General Visa and I will be eligible for ILR application on 15th Feb 2013.

I had a baby on 28th June 2012 and would like to know if I need to apply Tier 1 dependant Visa for my baby or I can directly apply for his ILR along my application.

Has somebody faced the similar situation?
