EEA Family Permits.(Residence Card/marriage Interview )

Post by stylish2g2 » Tue Oct 16, 2012 9:50 am

Hello guys, greetings to everyone!!!!

I got married May this year and my wife is a EU citizen working here for than 4 years. After we got married, i applied for a residence card and about 3 weeks ago, the UKBA sent me the certification of application saying i can accept job appointments. Just yesterday, i got an email from the UKBA that i need to come for an interview with my wife and they would like us to come with our personal bank statements and joint bank account statements if we have one. photos during our relationship and the wedding photos which we have it ready now.

I would be happy if anyone can please be of help as to what kind of questions we should be looking forward to expect from them.

I personally came to the UK with a friends passport which i have already told my wife before we even started dating and she is aware of this as we loved each other and i know i did not marry her based on my immigration status which she also knows.I was getting ready to leave the country when i meet her but she did not want me to leave as she was in love and cannot bear with distance relationship. Supposed the UKBA should ask me, how did i get into the country, what should i say?? please i need help on this.

I am not advicing you but making a point across, there is a saying that say the truth is bitter.
Any way you come into the country do not matter, you can come in across the border from ireland or any where, it does not affect your eea application as long as your marriage is genuine, the truth in the eyes of HO is a crime against you in the court and coming to the country with a friend passport is illegal that if when caught at that time can give you 10yrs in prison. With my point here, you should be wise enogh to know what to say but be more prapare to answer question regarding your relationship which must coincide with the question asked from your wife but coming with a friend passport looks bad.
Pls stop typing in bold letters.
beloved is the belief that there are inherent differences in people's traits and capacities that are entirely due to their race, however defined, and that, as a consequence, justify the different treatment of those people, both socially and legally.

As far as I understand that after COA UKBA call you for an interview because they wants to see you physically in the UK.you are not in their system so case worker wants to make sure that the applicant is in the country before issuing you RC.no need worry just concentrate on your family relation sort of questions.best of luck.
Best regards

Just take the print out of the email as well as all the items/documents they mentioned to bring. Interrogation will surely be related to the relationship.
Whenever caseworker feel some doubt about the application then either the UKBA staff visit the property or call for interview to determine the legality of relationship.
