Serves them right for not taking part in Schengen. Imagine how much easier it would for third-country nationals living in the UK to travel to the rest of Europe if it did take part.
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

One hopes that the United Kingdom in return is refusing to share its data with the Schengen countries.

Relations between sovereign nations must be conducted on the basis of mutual trust and respect. Unfortunately the mentality in much of contintental Europe is to expect the United Kingdom to place itself under ever-greater European control as the price of "co-operation".

uk needs to be part of the schengen agreement so i can visit paris for 5 quid lol i need a transit visa for france if i am flying via france.. lol even if i dont leave the plane i need the visa lol

The United Kingdom doesn't need to do anything of the sort, just because it causes issues for some non-citizens. Decisions like that are a matter for the interests of the United Kingdom and of British citizens, first and foremost.
