Booking Online Air Ticket from India

Post by from_india » Sun Jan 28, 2007 6:02 pm

Hi All,

This may be a out-of-place post; if so, my apologies.

I obtained my HSMP and EC; and now its the time to travel to UK. I hoped that booking the ticket online would be very simple and there would be a lot of sites availing the online booking.

To my surprise, I could not book the online ticket from Mumbai to London. Some sites accepts only US credit cards. A lot of India sites do not provide the internation booking facilities. The Jet Airways site is giving an error that you can not book online for the children. The British Airways does not allow online booking (they do, but you have to pay offline and get the tickets). I could not find a site on Google where I could do the booking. Very surprising!

So are there any web sites that you know of where I can do the online booking from India?

Thanks!

have you tried sites like:
- lastminute.com
- expedia.co.uk
?
expedia.co.uk say they accept international credit cards, so long as the ticket can be Eticket

Try www.travelguru.com

A word of advice - Don't use them if you think you might need to change the dates later. Rescheduling through them is a PAIN !! Otherwise pretty good service.

Cool! It just took 5 minutes to book on TravelGuru; and I dont believe none of my search on Google gave me that link. Anyway, thank you both ukjobsforme and shockboy2000!
