HSMP AND IT

Guys,

I am NZ citizen (Immigrant status) and living in NZ since last 4 Years and working in Full Paid Employment. Recently married and thinking on Spending Few years in UK for a change.

Been in IT Industry since 11 Years, and now doing Job as Software Delivery Engineer (Assistant to SD- Manager), Recently I am studying PRINCE2 Foundation to get into SDM completely.

I have few questions about HSMP.

1. What sort of scope of IT in UK? Are there many Job? What scope of progress there ?
2. What about Tax return? my employer deduct Tax from my Salary and give me weekly pay slip (without stamp) this is normal here. do I still need to provide yearly Tax return from Income Tax department?
3. What about Wife and her Health care? My wife will not be primary applicant, she will be dependent on me so will she be eligible for any maternity benifits? and all other NHS benefits ?
4. What about Hosuing in UK? Example if under HSMP I would like to buy a house through Bank and pay Mortage as per normal, will I be eligible for that?
5. Will I be eligible for Child Support funds in UK under HSMP?
6. I already have NZQA qualification assessment which proves that I have NZ Becholer equivillant degree. Do I still need to get an NIRC certificate?
7. Anyother useful tips?

1. Difficult to say - IT is a vast field, search over internet on UK job sites to get an idea.
2. Not sure but more or less same
3. She can get normal NHS care
4. You can buy house under HSMP
5. Most probably not (again not sure)
6. Can't comment - not absolutely necessary though having NARIC is beneficial
7. Go thru postings on this forum.

Kaff - have a look at cwjobs.com and reed.co.uk for IT specific UK jobs. I don't think you will have trouble finding work in your field. You might think about locating close to Reading as this is kind of the IT hub of England.
