Dear Sir / Madam,
I understand from UKBA website that Home Office welcomes comments to resolves the complaints and improve the services. I would like to bring to your attention an issue related to service standards regarding ILR application process.
I find out that almost all applicants who applied on SET (O) 10 years stay in the UK category between mid July 2012 to mid August 2012 are still waiting for their Biometrics invitation letters from Home Office, whereas applicants who applied in late August 2012 (on and after 24/08/2012) have already received their Biometric invitation letters from Home Office in last week of October. I find out this information from various forums where applicants share their visa application time-lines.
I believe that Home Office deals with applications in the order they are received until there is any compelling circumstances. Because applications sent at later dates have received their Biometric invitation letters this has become a reason of concern for applicants who sent their applications earlier. Could you please investigate or raise it with relevant teams.
I would like to mention here that I am also an applicant under the same category but I do not intend to raise my individual case but as an issue faced by a group of applicants who applied for ILR on SET (O) between mid of July 2012 to mid of August 2012.
I will be grateful to you if you please raise this concern with relevant teams.
Kind regards,

Hi there,
I am also a 16th August applicant waiting for my biometrics letter. i also want to write to the Home Office and use this letter as a template.
When you wrote to them, did you include your full name, address, reference etc or did you send the email to them anonymous?
Thanks

Firstly, I came in to UK in Aug 29 2002 as a student and in 2003, i made an application to renew my visa, this was refused and i was given right to appeal, i did the appeal between the time frame given.
After 8 months into the appeal, i made another application to the HO and they acknowledged the application an then i withdrew the appeal from the tribunal and the new application was successful . would this count as a continuous stay in the UK for the purpose of Long residence ?
Secondly, my college was taking off the sponsor in June 2012, just 2 months before i qualify for my 10 years lawful residence. In HO website, it says you have to look for another college withing 60 days and re-apply for Tier 4 through the new college. I see this as rip off because within the 60 days, i had already qualify for 10 years i then made my application for Indefinite in Aug 6 2009
Has anyone had this same experience in the past, what was the outcome ?
I need to know all these please.
Thanks
THANKS T4TIFA - are there any June-12 applicants who got reply? Please inform ASAP to ease our pain!!!....t4tifa wrote:hi every one

Dear UK Border Agency,
Please could I request the following under the FOI :
1. How many applications you have received under the SET-O long
residence 10 years rule in the months of June & July 2012?
2. How many SET-O long residence 10 years application you have
resolved, received in the month of June & July 2012?
3. How long is the the average processing time for the applications
to be resolved once the biometric has been done?
4. What is UKBA doing to accelerate the applications for the SET-O
long residence which are over 6 months old?
5. Where and who should applicants contact, if their application
has been made over 6 months and they are still waiting?
6. Average processing times in weeks for the SET-O long residence
10 years applications?
Yours faithfully,
remember me in your prays ....i need your prays thanks

what did you do to get them to call you?dd202 wrote:Hi guys, got a call from UKBA today, which surprised the hell out of me initially, I thought they called me to reject my application or something. But no, they called me to clarify a few details and informed me that I should have received my BRP invitation today which I did. Anyways thought I share my rather strange experience with you. I am a September applicant.

I am one of the applicants who applied in late august and expecting biometric appointment letter.
I am enclosing a link which is the reply from the home office under the freedom of information act. By the looks of the reply there seems to be some good news expected by end of november as they are unwilling to give out the details. Also you can pester them with emails under the freedom of information act from this website, i make it a point to send one email a week.

Anyway keep calm and focus on other things as well to reduce the stress, easier said than done. I have decided i am going to wait till 1st week of february and if nothing happens then gonna withdraw my application as am getting married in march and cant delay any more.
In one of my previous post in this forum I explained the whole mess I was in. Anyways, long story short, I contacted my local mp a few weeks back and one of her assistants contacted the UKBA on my behalf to request my passport back. I needed my passport back as I recently got offered a job & my new employer needs to have a look at my passport and degree certificates. So a few days back a lady from the UKBA called me to ask me my home address where she could post my passport to and clarify the reason why I requested my documents back. She also informed me that my biometric invitation letter was dispatched. That is all really.mat88 wrote:what did you do to get them to call you?dd202 wrote:Hi guys, got a call from UKBA today, which surprised the hell out of me initially, I thought they called me to reject my application or something.
