Documents to be approved..

Hey guys,

If you are the sponsor and have to get any documents attested.
The best person to do so would be a solicitor, yes?

Would it still be okay if a MP/ councillor signed them? Or would that be a concer for the person checking the file and doubting the authenticity because it was not signed from a solicitor's firm.
