National Insurance Number

Hi everyone!

I'm from Portugal (EU) and I'm planning to visit UK soon as a job seeker.

I won't have, until I find a job, a permanent residence (I'll be staying in hostels).

Is it possible to request a National Insurance Number with a provisional address from my home country?
