Access rights for UK citizens in new EU countries

Post by Dawie » Wed Jan 31, 2007 4:35 pm

Does anyone know what employment rights the new EU countries have given to UK citizens and other old EU members? For example, is it as easy for a UK citizen to live and work in Poland, Slovakia, etc as it is the other way around?
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

these country works on the principle of reciprocity -uk citizens can work and live there without needing any permits, whereas a french citizen would need a work permit to take up work in czech republic form instance. Have a look at the following link:

That's a great little site! Thanks so much for the link...very handy. Looks like UK citizens can work pretty much anywhere in the new EU.
