Certificate of Impediment?

Post by Canadian Lovely » Sun Feb 04, 2007 2:46 am

My fiance (British) and myself (Canadian) will be having our legal marriage ceremony here in Canada.
Will he need to acquire a Certificate of Impediment?

Thanks for anyone who can help!

Kitty

You need to clarify that with the authorities where you intend to get married. I say that because although it is possible to get such a certificate issued in the UK, it is not a requirement to produce such a certificate here in the UK when giving "Notice of Intention to Marry".
