When does your 2-year spouse visa expire? How long have you got to pass the test?

Most people find that with study the test is quite easy to pass .... and conversely without study, even British Citizens who have lived here all their lives would struggle to pass. So please don't assume that you cannot get through the test.

But the strict answer to your question is that if the test has not been passed, and ILR is being applied for on or after 02.04.07, you could apply for another 2 year time limited visa, and can do that indefinitely if there is the need. But the expense of doing that .... ouch!

I'm not sure I understand what your age has got to do with your ability to pass the test? Do you have some sort of degenerative disease?
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

The test has been designed in such a way that even the dimmest persons can pass it, provided they study. So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hi

I took the same test 3 weeks ago and passed it. If you read the book (chaps 2,3,4) and do some practice tests, I have no doubt you will pass it. And don't be afraid to fail because you can still repeat the test whenever you are ready. There is nothing wrong with you if you fail the test.

Goodluck.
