Need Urgent Help Employed + Selfemployed

Post by aju2012 » Mon Dec 10, 2012 7:45 pm

Hello Experts,

Just need urgent help from some one who got Tier 1 (G) Extn. based on
Employed + Self Employed.
I am due to apply for Extn. in March 2013 I have registered myself for self employed in first week of Nov 2012. I have received one letter from HMRC stating I need to pay 60 £ for NI until July 2013 bit still I haven't recd any UTR no. or welcome letter from HMRC does it mean that I am registered now ??
And if I am registered can someone please help me how to show income from self-employed. I am falling short of points based upon previous earnings by just 3600 £ income.
If possible please send me Private Message anything which can help me as I hardly got 3 months in hand to work on this shortfall.

you should receive UTR number from hmrc in 15 days if not call them and give them you NI number they will get your number and send you the letter.

income from self employment (ADVISE)

1 open back account with a company name etc

2. what ever you earn ask your client to deposit in your business account

generate invoice and contract. once you cover the short fall

get an account to do the rest.
Kind Regard,
A.Khan

Self-Employment Important Points to remember for Visa extension

1. Sales Invoices Needed – Showing your client full details and description of services/product sold
2. Your bank statement should match your sales invoice amount. If not provide clarifications
3. Include your HMRC UTR No registration confirmation
4. Include your CLASS 2 NI bills and highlight payments made from your Bank
5. As you registered in November 2012 your first return will be 01 Nov 2012 to 05 April 2012 but your visa extension is in March 2012. So you need to submit your Profit & Loss account + Balance Sheet as at 28.02.13 which should be based on Net Profit = Total Sales – expenses.
6. Arrange the accountant who can help you to provide P&L and Balance Sheet as well as Income certificate for above period.
7. You should receive your UTR registration welcome letter in 15 working days if not then call them as this is most important document.

Thank You askhan & mayurc

Thank you for detail information. I called up HMRC many time they told me that you need yo wait till 14th Dec and my concern is that as per Home Office guidelines they will only consider income earned after getting registered so till now what ever I earned as self employed could not be included. I have already hired one accountant who is going to make accounts for me but don't understand why I have received letter from NI to pay 60£ till July 2013.
