I wish I did the same, I should've done some research long before...My wife's employer is pushin' hard on ECS for her App to be uploaded onto the system.

Seriously, I keep thinkin' why did I not do this. Hope everything should be alright. Don't really want to trigger the Unfair Dismissal firm.

Wish me luck.
then what did you do, didn't you enter your ref number on your wife covering letter ? or you sent your wife application very late ?

Where does this 99% come from? I thought on the UKBA website, they said they aim to process 95% of the cases within 6 months. And reading through this forum, it seems to me that they even CAN'T process 95% of the cases within 6 months, let alone the figure of 99%. It's rediculous what they're claiming.
@JoILR,

May be they have become efficient, for next 6 months.
I read in the other forum of ILR time lines 2011-2012, in that many people got their ILR in just 4-5 weeks, especially between march-july 2012.

Hi everyone ,

Bio metric letter received on 10th December and solicitor posted to me on 12th of December , still on 15th of December I havn't received it. Today solicitor on holiday so cant confirm until Monday either she post me special delivery or normal recorded , letter issue date was 6th of December as letter indicate I can registered until 21st of December. In case of lost in post what I have to do otherwise they invalidate application.
I have scanned copy which my solicitor send to me before posting me. Please any advice , really stress , I need your prayers , if I will get on Monday original will be great , photo copy don't accept by post office.

Please give me advice what I have to do. your response will be highly appreciated.

Now this is insane...my solicitor said they send two copies, both to the applicant and representative . However, where does it says you cannot enrol with a photocopy

All it says is
Find a participating branch, and bring your barcoded biometric invitation. You’ll also need to bring cash or a debit card to pay the £19.20 fee as we don’t accept credit cards
I could be completely wrong but all they need is the barcode which would same as original on photocopy. I'd say wait for your post on monday and if you haven't received anything then why not give a try with a photocopy ?

@Anjum,

If the scanned copies are in PDF format, then Post Office won't even know whether is copy or original, they only need to scan the bar code, which can be easily done, even from a copy.

Hi Amjad,

It is no where mentioned that you need to bring original invitation letter but it all depends on Post Office staff. The scanned/photocopy is easily identified due to the type of paper. Original Bio letter is printed on a slightly coloured recycled type of low quality paper. (you know what I mean).

You can give it a try, if post office will notice and ask for the original you can say its with your solicitor and you didn't know that you had to bring original.

If post office scans it without asking for the original then they will ask you to confirm your details. If they confirmed your details correctly then it means bar code has been scanned properly.

Worst case scenario is that there is an email address on Bio invitation letter to inform Home Office explaining the situation.

Best of luck.

Shad

Hi Amjad,
1. As suggested by others attempt at post office with printed letter.
2. At PEO with printed letter explain the situation and post office refusal.
3. Call HO and request for another copy posted to your address or preferably by email.
4. Email is accepted by PEO.

My bio was also lost and I was in impression it was never issued. But they send a duplicate copy to me when I requested. Yes they do say 15 days otherwise application to be invalid, but in my case duplicate copy is issued after more than a month. So aware them of your situation ASAP.

Thanks,
Aksi

@tinaysf,

Wait another 2 weeks, then write an letter letter directly to the case worker, that your application is pending for considerable amount of time. Therefore they should expedite your application.

In-spite of have an acknowledgement letter, people struggle to get hold of someone who can actually look into the system. However, I'd presume that your Ack ltr is just misplaced.

If I were you, I'd have contacted them and tell them that my employer needs a proof of my outstanding application and the proof of my posting receipt doesn't specifies what kind of document was posted. So, could you please re-issue my acknowledgement letter or log my details onto the system(which in essence means bio invitation ) so that my employer can get a positive response from Employee Checking Service.

I am not saying this will work but then there is no evidence that this wouldn't. So the probability is still 50-50

Hi,

I think you will have to submit Biometric again because its a must with every new application even if you have already submitted it in your previous application.

Its a 2DRx barcode which is the important bit. So I guess it shouldn't be a problem as long as the barcode has been printed correctly without any extra ink on it from the printer, which could disturb the whole data (XML) in it.

So, I would suggest to wait another 2 to 3 days and then call the home office for a suggestion. They might say go ahead with a printed copy.

Or if you want to take a chance you might as well just do it. The worse case scenario is that they (post office staff) will say we couldn't retrieve your data. They are not going to punish you. Then just ask the homeoffice to send you another copy.

xx

@dipmm2000d,

Every application is dealt with its own merits. Some one who applied in Sep 2012, bio in Nov 2012, BRP-ILR issued first week of Dec 2012.

Just hope that we all get a good news, sooner or later.

Be patience and keep faith.
