EEA FP-online application/how will you pay for your trip?

Post by Pablito » Tue Dec 18, 2012 10:45 pm

I am reading here a lot of posts and my conclusions are that it should be easier for my wife to apply if my wife don't mention that she intends to work or stay longer than 3 months since i am traveling with my wife in period of 3 months in which i don't need to exercise my treaty rights.

However can anyone give information whether my wife has to provide information how she will pay for her trip?and also our income. i am afraid that if we will do then they will turn down the application because she never gave any evidence, any links or idea to enlighten us ? After we are done with our application i will post all question we answered and which we didn't and outcome of our application as an appreciation of your good will to help.

Thank You

Is there such a question in the form? (and even if was, it is not relevant to this type of application)
and also our income.
No.
I suggest you read Q4 in - EEA FAQs - Common Questions - Read before posting - EEA Family Permit.

JUmbo thanks for your reply

The point is ,yes there is such a question and even more those kind of questions which require you to choose either yes/no answer, and if u don't, you won't be able to proceed. That's why i am thinking to just print out my own application form and make an appointment to VFS on my own, however UKBA states i should use online form. I think this online application form is very tricky. For example they ask if my wife has savings and there is no other option but just to choose yes or no.

If it is a free text field, write "Not relevant for this type of application"

Directive

In some cases after choosing yes/no answer, there is an option to provide details, but you cannot avoid answering the question. But you don't actually physically type answer yes/no you mark one of them.

I know and I find that very frustrating.

I would try to put
-1 or 9.99 or 999
or something like that, and then explain at the end that 9.99 or -1 was entered to indicate N/A when the question is not relevant to the visa.
