ILR Validaity

Post by anilk21dec12 » Sun Dec 23, 2012 7:59 am

Hi Friends,

I was in UK during 2000 to 2009. Between 2005 - 2007, I was away from UK for 18 months. I got my ILR in 2004. I moved out of UK in May 2009 due some personal emergency. I am planning to return to UK. Please can some one advise, is my ILR still valid. If not, is there anyway I can return to UK.

Unless you have retained very close ties to the UK, you will have lost your ILR status. You will have to apply for a new visa to live in the UK. What category would suit you: work, study, partner of settled resident?
