congrats. Does your wife's vignette state UK entry clearancedrabhishek82 wrote:Hello everyone,
My wife finally got her settlement dependant visa today 23 rd Jan - 70 working days.
The chennai BHC called her on 60th working day - 7th Jan asking her that they wanted to see my latest employment letter which I sent very urgently directly to the BHC through FedEx. They also emailed my wife that they received the documents on time since they gave a deadline of 7 working days for it to be submitted.
The employment letter should state the current Salary, the previous salaries, type of contract - Permanent and since how long previously in employment.
Thanks everyone for all the help and info provided, thanks to the moderator for this forum.
Applied on : 4th October 2012
Forwarded to BHC : 8th October 2012
Phone call from BHC : 7th Jan 2013
Visa Granted : 23rd Jan 2013

Thank you very much for your list. It was really helpful. Much appreciated.
I have few more queries:
1)Can you please tell me what other docs you got notarized copies other than passports. Is it mandatory to get it notarized?
2)Did you wife got ILE visa?
3)Can you please send a template of covering letter and sponsor letter to my personal email id: senthilkumar.s.shanmugam@gmail.com
4)Can you please tell me whether you have submitted originals or photocopies or both of all the documents?
5)Do we need to get the sponsor letter notarized?
Kindly clarify. Looking forward for your response.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Senthil
I would suggest that you start gathering documents now. Also ask your spouse to apply for the passport. It does not matter that your name is not on her passport since you are submitting the original marriage certificate anyway.SAMISPOUSAL wrote:ibeactive wrote:Hi,

I am not an expert but that does not sound right. If you read the UKBA process, it allows for additional documents to be submitted:sKAUR wrote:Barrister has Advised that I had to base the appeal on the documents submitted in the application

Been looking at this site from last 10 days... Wish I would have known tgis before I applied dependent wife application(Settlement). Great discussion and understanding and helping each other out is quite remarkable. Hope and pray to god every one gets visa and meet their loved ones sooner.
These waiting times are frustrating for couples. Wonder why ukba takes so long. Surly they don't understand what goes between couples and families..How a hard it is to live apart.
Applied wife settlement visa on 30/11/2012 at VFS Hyderabad. Emailed after 30 days and got a reply saying processing time 57 days.
Application status Still underprocessing
Thanks and hope I get good advise from you guys
All the best for all of us
