Post by aj_sp_007 » Mon Feb 26, 2007 10:27 am

Today recevied the Naric Comparison Letter...i asked to evaluate my two degrees...
1. Bachelor in commerce (B.Com Hons) Compareable
2. MCSD Not Compareable

I have claimed for 30 points for my bachelors...which is compareable.
But my Naric letter shows two comparisons...now will it disturb the caseworker in any case

jd..

it was an online application and i faxed all the documents.
what i faxed them was my graduate degree & transcript & MCSD degree & Transcript.(MCSD was just a try but was very sure about the Graduate degree)
Comparison letter recieved where they mentioned MCSD is a professional one...they cant compare but suggested for the same authority who issued it which is MICROSOFT.
But said Graduate one was compareable to british standards...and i was very sure of this.
Now the problem here is ..in the HSMP application form im claiming for Graduate degree 30 points...which accarding to NARIC is compareable.
But will it create any problem if the caseworker reads the MCSD no comparison thing...or its fine...

Can you elaborate as to what constitutes (or full form of) MCSD.

Hi aj_sp_007,

Thanks for the info. So its the same that i guessed. Even i am an MCSD but i pretty much doubt that it is a professional qualification.

Here is a list of professional qualifications http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profession ... ed_Kingdom

Please share if you have more information on this.

If you are not sending MSCD docs and claiming points for that then i dont think it will be a confusion for Caseworker.

Apologies for confusion :)

aj_sp

Since you are now sure, that NARIC considers your degree as comparable, you may not send the NARIC letter with your application if you think that's going to confuse them.

My HSMP was rejected, but for a different reason. They accepted my Bachelors degree certificate from India and awarded the necessary points for qualification.

Good luck

Cheers
