Hi

I just got refugee status. I applied for conventional travel document. I want to know how long does it normally take to get travel document? And do I need to have visa to visit france ?
.I am Indian national.

Sorry. I applied asylum in UK and hence got refugee statua.

first you can apply for indian passport. if your embassy deny to issue a new passport to you. so you have to request ur indian embassy for reason in written.
Then you are able to apply travel documents from UKBA.

a refugee cannot apply for a national passport, given that it has been recognised he fears persecution in his country of origin. It is correct that he has applied for a travel document. See timelines here:

4th month n still no response dont know what is the hurdle they r facing

My 4 and half month is past but still not heard anything from UKBA. Apart from acknowledgement letter. even 2time I had requested for MP help and she call the home office and conform the application is received but still in process. I have submitted cover letter to explained at ILR stage I have waited for 6month that is why this time don`t suffer us through waiting.
