Is there any chance to child get registered if his biological father consent is missing (form MN1 sec. 6)?

My wife's son has some father who is abroad and it is difficult to get in touch with him.

What could be a problem?

What's the basis for the child's claim to British citizenship? If it's an entitlement then the Home Office have no right to be looking for consent.

If on the other hand the claim is under a discretionary provision then they will normally look for parental consent. However the other parent does not have a right to veto the application and if parent does say no, the Home Office will ignore it unless a good reason is provided.

Clarify the circumstances and you will get more specific information.

me and my wife are going to apply afer 12 month on ILR received after 4 yrs on WorkPermit and HSMP.

Child is my wife's son living with us and he has ILR for 12 month as well.

Could you please elaborate on - if one parent says no.

I mean his biological father can say yes but it just real pain to find him first and then talk to him.

What is the difference for HO to make decision between - he says 'no' and his signature is absent completely?

P.S. we have less than 3 weeks left to our appointment in NCS

"White minors" and "Asian minors" (to use your crude terminology) are also applicants for British citizenship.

Does your wife have sole custody of her son? If not, how did he get ILR in the first place?
