Passport to be renewed before FLR expires

I just got my HSMP extended to March 2011 the thing is my passport will need to be renewed in 2010 is it just a case of flipping the hsmp over or will I need to reapply again

I have the same case but we can use our old passport alongwith our new one. No need to worry.

could not understand how do you get a 4 year extension on HSMP ?
