Indian PIO card applicaiton

Hi,

I am going to apply for PIO card for my daughter (who is a British citizen, and she was born in India) . I am an ex-indian, now a British citizen with Indian PIO card.
My wife is an Indian citizen.

I will need to post my wife's Indian passport along with other documents for her postal application for ILR (SET(M).

She has about 20 day sleft in her spouse visa and hence i don't want to delay her postal application.

I was wondering if i could just use my cancelled Indian passport and PIO card, when applying for my daughter's PIO card, rather than to use my wife's Indian passport?
