Withdraw Asylum or ??

Post by Sinner » Fri Mar 15, 2013 6:28 pm

Hello.

I am posting on behalf of my sister. She came to the UK in November 2012 on student visa and she got engaged to a guy in January 2013 who was on asylum. Due to some circumstances back home she also had to apply for an asylum. Her screening was on 13th March but on 12th March her fiancé was granted refugee status. Although she did continue with her asylum but we are confused about the situation.

Please advise what option do we have? Can we withdraw asylum and apply for a dependant or what else?

If she has with his asylum claim then she will qualify for dependant same leave as her fiance but if she has just started relation with him then the processe is complicated should you consult immigration solicitors.
