Flat rental and ILR

When applying for ILR on the basis of a Work permit does anyone know what proof is needed to be shown as where one is living?

Will it matter if the house rental contract is only for 3 months in my name?

This is because I am so hassled by rentals which have gone sour that I want to buy and so want to rent only for the interim period till I find a place and sort out the mortgage.
Previously I have rented in my name since 4 years but right now want to move only for 3 months.
Will it have a negative effect if my current house lease is for a short term?

No neeed to provide rental info. You need to provide bank states/pay slips for 3 months. Absolutely no need for rental information. If you earn a decent amount each month then they can see you can afford to pay rent whether short term or long term contract. or even mortgage! In other words you must be able to accomodate yourself without recourse to public funds. Trust me just show bank statements/pay slips for three months, photos, employer's letter and your passport. You'll be fine - STop worrying!

You know what its like!! I had everything worked out with a year long rental when my landlord who had gone off to Australia forever has suddenly decided to return.giving me one month to move out.
