'' MEDICAL EXAMINATION FOR HSMP/WORK PERMIT APPLICANTS
If you intend to travel to the United Kingdom to work in either the food & beverage industry, in the healthcare industry, or under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme, you will need to have a medical examination before your visa is issued. This procedure will take an additional 12 working days, so please allow plenty of time for your application to be processed. For more details please visit our website www.ukinindia.com ''
Please advice me on this as I have applied for my EC on 15/03/2007 from New Delhi and still waiting for the decision. I couldn't find any further information about this on the internet. Will they take an additional 12 days no matter what?
I mean I can get the medical check-up done in no time from my local GP. But, would they still take that long to give me back my passport and docs? I am concerned 'coz I had already struggled hard for 6 months to get my HSMP approval.
Anyone else who applied from india, could you tell me what is this medical examination exactly??
