Seven years to do a degree? How can u survive for seven years without working?hypegal3 wrote:my dad got his passport back today, but he applied for 1 yr course at college and send in passport and papers to Home office and they gave him 6 months whats up with that, what can he do, hes been here 7yrs doing degree course, they always give him either 1 or 2 yrs stamp in his book and all of a sudden they gave him 6 months.
To be fair, 7 years is a long time to be on a student visa. The fact that the home office gave him 6 months only might indicate that they've decided he's outstayed his welcome. Remember a student visa is not supposed to be a route to settlement and the Home Office might be suspicious about the fact that he's been here so long on a student visa.hypegal3 wrote:my dad got his passport back today, but he applied for 1 yr course at college and send in passport and papers to Home office and they gave him 6 months whats up with that, what can he do, hes been here 7yrs doing degree course, they always give him either 1 or 2 yrs stamp in his book and all of a sudden they gave him 6 months.
