Confused regarding my Qualifications :/

Post by unrevealed » Fri Mar 23, 2007 2:16 am

Hello All,

I have recently finished my Msc from a British University and currently here on SEGS Visa. I have got 2 bachelors degree from pakistan, both are of 2 years and are during the same period but from different universities and different subjects as one is private study and one is regular.

I have one year graduate level work experience before i came to the UK and started my MSc. I am just confused what to do as in, i am claiming 35 points by showing my MSc which is from UK. 5 Points for british qualification. Going for IELTS as i don't have bachelors honours degree. So, would it be fine claiming points over my latest qualification and earning points by showing my employment before my Masters. Kindly remove my confusion as i have been reading people's reviews over this website, and HSMP seems so difficult to get.

Regards...

you must show your earnings after your masters not before.

If you'd have remained a student after your MSc you could've claimed points for your salary before you started your MSc - i.e. your graduate level work. But since your status has now changed to a SEGS visa you cannot claim points for your previous work as this allowance is made only for people who have been studying immediately prior to their application for HSMP and are on a student visa.

hope this clarifies the situation a bit.
When you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack
