Family Visit Visa Or General Visit Visa?

Family Visit Visa Or General Visit Visa?

Myself and my partner are both british citizens. My Sister In Law, Brother In Law and their child want to Visit.

My Sister in law will apply through Family Visit Visa as she is visiting her sister but I don't know about my brother in law and their child. can they also apply family visit visa? could anyone help?

btw we are not sponsoring their application.

from the ukba form who can apply but im still confused.

Spouse, civil partner, father, mother, son, daughter, brother or sister;
Grandfather, grandmother, grandson or granddaughter;
Spouse or civil partner's father, mother, brother or sister;
Son or daughter's spouse or civil partner;
Stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother or stepsister; or

General visitor for brother in law and the child

I thought so however if we look at another prospective as if my brother in law is filling out the application. He is visiting his partners sister would that not count as a family visa. I understand for their son it has to be general visa.

Yes, you are correct. However do take a look at the Child visitor visa category, if the child is under 18. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... uirements/
