20 - UK to US general info

Post by softmints » Thu Mar 29, 2007 6:13 am

Hi, i've been interested in moving to the states for quite some time.

i know that its a very long and difficult process getting in to the country legally as an immigrant, and i was wondering what my best options were.

I'm a 20 year old English male, currently studying for my degree in computer games design at the university of Teesside, i'll be entering my final year in September.

i was wondering what more knowledgeable people than i thought my best option was, should i pursue an intern placement in the US through the university?

do you think my course is suitable for me to apply for jobs using the H1B visa?

Finally i wondered what people would deem to be a suitable amount of money to save up if indeed it was all to go smoothly.

thanks for any replies. :)

and no this isnt some fad or passing fancy, i'm entirely serious about moving and have carefully considered it.
