No spouse name in Indian Passport

Hi All,

The Surrender of Indian Passport Application Form contains a field for Spouse Name (As per the Indian Passport). My passport was issued before I was married and therefore, does not contain Spouse Name.

Should I keep the field blank or include my wife's name in the form and attach a copy of our Marriage Certificate.

A quick reply will be much appreciated because I am planning to apply tomorrow.

I would just leave it blank (if not included in the passport).
I don't think marriage certificate submission is necessary because it's an individual's citizenship renunciation - marital status has no relevance with it.
