Seeking Advice on FLRo Application Made

Post by Agent_009 » Wed Apr 17, 2013 5:18 pm

Hi Folks,
My last visa category was tier1-PSW, I recently made an application in the FLRO category because the company i was working for intitially confirmed they will be doing my visa switch to tier-2, but unfortunately two weeks before my visa could expire, they informed me they wouldnt be going ahead with it.

I applied under the FLRo and stated my case, I still work for the company at present as they still allowed me to work after i presented an acknowlegment letter from the Home Office.

The advice is do i have a chance?

Hi,
It would be absolutely difficult to assess your chances based on the limited information you just posted. Acctually. the FLRO can cover just anything both within and out of the immigration rules.

Perhaps is you offer abit more info then one can be able to assess your chances?

Hi Sublime688,

Thanks for your response to my post.
I believe the minimum pay requirement for tier-2 is £20000.
My company offers me more. However, when the process to commence the visa switch began, the lawyers they contacted reported that for my category the salary expected is more. they said going by the code of conduct, my salary expectations were between £28k - £32k range. This prompted them not to continue the process anymore. And i was contacted less than 2 weeks before my visa was expiring.
However, i managed to put in the FLRo application, and sent in the letter of acknowledgement to the HR team that an application has been made.
With that i have been able to continue working.
