Out-of-country dependent (Tier 1 Gen.) application timelines

Hi all,
My wife has applied tier 1 dependant visa on March 15th from Hyderabad-India. But still she has not received yet.

status shows "Is under progress with British High commission".

We are really worried. Has anyone applied around this time please let me know.

Hi virpaul, yes I did contact with email to chennaivisaenquiry@fco.gov.uk
And got reply from caseworker team saying that there are some enquiries goin on an they can't tell how many days further its gonna take just asked to wait asusual. That's it.
Has your wife applying for the first time to uk?

interview arranged on 16/may /2013 at bandra high commission office
suggested that VFS will confirm again to us .....

...whts this all mean y interview ? what they will ask ?please if anyone can help me ASAP...

On 20th Saturday, I got a call from BHC asking for my wife passport/visa copy. I told that it is there in the submitted document, and requested to check it once again. Then they acknowledge it is there. Asked when I will be getting the visa and passport, but they told they cannot comment on the decision at that time.

Its been more than 15 days ( 17 working days in total) but still in processing.

Update:

Status changed happened today(20th working day). "Your Application is being sent to Application Center. Please wait until it is ready for collection".

Since I have opted for collection,they are sending there. But still the mesage sound ambiguous. I am not sure whether it is successful or not.
Any idea?

Also, I sent an email stertday to chennaivisaenquiry@fco.gov.uk
requesting for the latest status.

BHC only calls for visa interview (tier1 general dependent) when they are not clear about something, certain evidence might not be clear etc, this is good sign that they are willing to grant the visa provided something is cleared.
Just be ready with all details of your application and supporting evidences, she should get visa for sure. my wife just got her tier1 dependent visa granted today, i would be happy to assist you further if required.

Total holidays between application date and passport approval: VFS - 5 days, High Commission - 2 days.

Chennai High Commission took 17 working days to process after receiving the application from VFS Hyd.

I had to repeatedly pursue the case with Chennai HC as my wife was booked to travel on the 25th, and while they replied that the visa is in processing stage only, they sent a sms and updated website only on the 23rd, and luckily the passport reached on the 24th, just 1 day before travelling.

Status of my application is not changing. its the 13th working day and i am still getting 'application has been forwarded to BHC'.

Submitted my papers to mumbai north VFS on- 24th april 2013

Status -Application forwarded to BHC - 25th April 2013

Since then there is no status change.

Has anyone faced such issue. Please reply

My wife has submitted her papers on 06th May 2013 still the status show as 'Application has been forwarded to BHC".

Submitted papers to VFS Bangalore on- 06th May 2013

Let me know when status of your application change.

Today is my 15th day and still there is no change in status.

before applying for visa i called VFS call center people to get an idea how much time visa will take and they told me that average time for tier-1 dependent visa is 3 days if applying from west zone. 3 days were little unrealistic to me hence i called the callcenter 2-3 times again to cross check and i was getting the same reply ...if applied from west zone average time is 3 days.

is there anyone who have got dependent visa in 3 days?

i dont understand why VFS call center is misleading people.
