Applying for jobs in the UK from abroad

Post by fatbyjhnsn » Thu Apr 05, 2007 9:24 pm

Hi all!

I'm an American citizen hoping to find work in the UK. Does anyone know of any resources or placement agencies that specialize in helping foreigners find work? I don't quite qualify for the HSMP, but I do have a bunch of marketable skills and experience in the design/web marketing sector.

I suppose one route is to just apply for a bunch of jobs that I find online, but I'm hoping there are some slightly more specialized resources out there.

Can anyone guide me in this process? Do you think it will be impossible to find something?

The procees to get a job in the UK is, Talk with some recruitment consultants and arrange few interviews, Take a flight to UK, attent the interview and start working.

In case if you do not talk with agencies or companies, then go there directly, start applying for jobs and hopefully you should end up with few offers in your hand within a month time... If you skill is very much in demand, then it should not take 10-15 days to get an offer in your hand :)
