Need Urgent help - overstayer

Post by coolgurlin9 » Thu Apr 12, 2007 7:33 pm

Hello
I entered UK on 20th january 2003 with a student visa.I have been studying a masters since this date. On 7th januaury 2005 my visa expired. However Prior to this date an application for a work permit was made on behalf of a company as they wished to employ me. Although work permit was granted for a period of 60 months, the FLR (IED) stage was refusedon the basis that i did not complete my degree in its entirety. At tht time i was working on my dissertation and the deadline was september 2005. after the refusal of FLR (IED) within two weeks i made another application to home office to extend my student visa so that i could atleast finish my disstertation as FLR(S).I got the confirmation letter saying that my application is valid and wait for few weeks for decision. I finished my disstertation n got the result which was pass but until then did not hear anything from home office
I waited and waited for the decision. but back in feb 2006 this year thru my solicitor i requested to cancel my application running because i had already completed my degree So wanted to go back to home country. homeoffice did not reply back even after two requests i made asking for my passport back, so that i can go back to my home country. after repeted letters and complaints (6 altogether)and after 8 months in Aug 2006 i got my passport and immidtaly i came back to my home country.

Now the situation is tht i am getting married next month and my partner is in UK on student visa and his visa is till sept 2007. would they permit me dependent visa Or if i want to do another course in UK University would they provide me student visa. I dont know what to do. I am in a depressed and loosing my mantal balance. I have got a degree from UK and its not worth anything. Could notapply SEGS that time cuz my passport was with home office. I got all the letters that i wrote to HO to return my passport. Please Please I beg someone who can help me in this matter. I am on depression pills as well but it is not helping either. All this issues costing my health because A UK GRADUATE HAS BEEN CONSIDERED AS A CRIMINAL AND SO UPSET ABOUT THE FUTURE.

Why not just get a new passport from your country's embassy? That would be the easiest and quickest way to go back to your home country.
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

The best and the simplest option is to get an out-of-country work permit for 60 months, get a visa almost immediately, return and carry on with your life.
